Itinerary
Prague – Two or three nights
Begin your European adventure by departing Dublin for Prague and checking in to one of three luxurious hotels for two or three nights. Prague is a city of spires with a rich history spanning a thousand years and ornate architecture in spades. The Prague Castle is an unmissable spectacle, especially when it’s lit up like a fairy tale fortress and looming above the beautiful Mánes Bridge.
- 4* Hotel Union is perfectly located within easy reach of the key sights and boasts a delicious hot and cold breakfast buffet in the sophisticated Caffe dell´Artista restaurant within the hotel.
- 4* Hotel U Divadla offers plenty of modern convenience including a TV and Wi-Fi, as well as elaborately furnished rooms with bold and warming colours to greet you after a long day of exploring.
- 4* Assenzio Hotel is a super-stylish restoration of a Neoclassical 19th-century palace, and makes for an equally homely base for your great trip!
Optional Excursions: A sightseeing cruise of the River Vltava from just €12pp on the second day of your stay in Prague, and a visit to Prague Castle from €25pp on the third day (nine-night stays only).
Xmas markets: From 1st Dec-6th Jan you can look forward to the Prague Christmas markets. Find out more here.
Vienna – Two or three nights
After two nights in Prague, take a train to Vienna and check in to one of two elegant hotels. Discover why Vienna is considered a capital of culture! With an intellectual legacy made up of Mozart, Beethoven and Freud, Vienna is a place of great thinkers and great expression. On your second day in Vienna, begin with a look around Schönbrunn Palace, the stunning summer palace of the Habsburgs where you will want to see the State Apartments, followed by the Gloriette, the marble summerhouse and the palace's Imperial Gardens.
- 4* Bellevue Hotel is a family hotel with a friendly atmosphere running throughout its classically decorated interiors. A convenient location near the Franz Joseph station means getting around the lustrous city is a doddle.
- 4* Novum Hotel Prinz Eugen Wien is similarly pristine in its presentation and is within easy walking distance of some of the city’s best sights including St. Stephens Cathedral and the Danube River.
Optional Excursions: An optional Vienna Walking Tour from just €17pp on the second day in Vienna, and a visit to Vienna Chocolate Museum from €15pp on the third day (nine-night stays only).
Xmas markets: From 17th Nov-26th Dec you can look forward to the Vienna Christmas markets. Find out more here.
Budapest - Two or three nights
Another two or three days of taking in the sights later, and you’ll be off to the third and final capital. Budapest is a city that exudes youth and is home to some of the best nightlife in Europe. Embark on a morning sightseeing on the second day of your visit for an overview of the historical city. Pass the Parliament, cross the Danube on the Margaret Bridge to the Royal Castle on the Buda side. For a different sort of tempo, check out Budapest’s District VII neighbourhood and its ruin bars.
- 4* Hotel Mediterran is situated on the Buda side of the city, with close proximity to the must-see sights of Buda Castle and The Fisherman’s Bastion. With bold pops of colour running through the hotel, you’re guaranteed a cheerful and restful retreat.
- 4* City Inn is located just a 15-minute walk from the city centre. Boasting an enviable position in downtown Budapest, this modern hotel provides a cosy standard room decorated with warm, inviting colours and comes with an LCD TV, internet access, hairdryer, safe and a minibar.
- 4* Royal Park Boutique Hotel is a truly stylish accommodation choice offering spacious double or twin rooms decked out in fresh, airy colour schemes.
