Upon arrival you will be greeted by a member of the hotel’s friendly staff and this warm welcome will continue with a piping hot cup of tea and delectable cake. During your time in Killarney you will stay in one of the hotel’s standard double or twin rooms - each one is individually decorated to make the most of the shape of space, natural light and original features of the building. The rooms are all equipped with comfortable furnishings, a TV, hospitality tray and decorated using rich, warm colours. Both mornings of your stay you will be indulged with a freshly cooked Irish breakfast - the only way to start a holiday day!
Area
The hotel is situated in the heart of the vivacious Killarney town, so you won’t be but a few metres from the buzz of the excellent eateries and bars that line its streets. If you’re looking for a bite to eat, one of the best places in the town is Cellar One at The Ross, expect contemporary Irish/European dishes with a heavy concentration on fish and seafood thanks to the town’s proximity to the coast. For an after dinner drink, be sure to head to the Celtic Whiskey Bar & Larder, which has a whole host of whiskeys for you to try and is rated 4.5 out of 5 on TripAdvisor! Whilst you could easily spend your Killarney break popping in and out of the cafes, bars and restaurants that have made the town so famous, but there is also a great to see in Killarney away from its urban centre. Killarney National Park encompasses 10000 hectares of lakes, mountains and heathland and is the perfect place for a country walk or cycle ride, if you’re lucky you might even spot some of the park’s Red Deer or White Tailed Sea Eagles. Another great day out is a boat trip to the legendary Skellig Michael, famous for their rich wildlife species, monastery ruins and UNESCO World Heritage Site label - it would be a shame to visit County Kerry without discovering these unusual rock formations!
