Staff were very friendly and helpful,food was lovely,with a good choice of options on the dinner upgrade menu although there were additional charges for some items. Limited choice if you are vegetarian or vegan. The hotel was a little tired,in places eg external window frames and the room was basic but comfortable.

My husband and I treated ourselves to a much needed break away for a special occasion and got much more than we bargained for. The two course dinner was lovely and the restaurant staff friendly and attentive. Harry was amazing and upgraded our room to one in the 16th Century building which is steeped in history. The room boasted a four poster bed and beautiful architectural features. The buffet style breakfast was delicious and set us up for the day head, lazing aroud the spa pool and taking advantage of the steam room and sauna. An wonderful experience and I would highly reccommend visiting. We will definately be revisiting again

Very good short break nice Hotel and great staff , rooms large modern very clean,excellent breakfast,only disappointment was the inclusive dinner 70% of the items on menu you had to pay extra for it would be better having a credit for dinner rather than having to pay £15 for steak £10 for chicken and so on £5 extra for a burger

Lovely place , setting very peaceful
Food really tasty but service slow . Lots of confusion with waiting staff in the bar at lunch time , waited over 35 minutes for our lunch order to be told had been given to another table ! That was a lie as the order had never come out to the bar!!!!

Staff are very friendly and welcoming. There is so much history relating to the main house and it was interesting looking around and imaging how the original occupants lived.
The evening menu was a little limited, and it was a shame that many dishes carried an additional supplement, however the food was delicious.
Our room was very comfortable and would definitely look to return in the future.

Very nice hotel we enjoyed ourselves. The leisure pass they said we could only swim for one tome ? So not happy as was staying for two days. Apart from that clean friendly staff. Beautiful location.

Absolutely disgusting hotel is in a state of disrepair. Staff are extremely rude. Food was awful. And spa was filthy. Hotel restaurant staff were very rude we waited an hour and a half for our dessert for it not to arrive I was also laughed at and told I wasn't allowed a non alcoholic beverage as apparently they don't serve them yet other customers received them. Extremely disappointed with our stay
