We came to this hotel for visisting Sligo, wich is 10 km away. The place is lovely, sourrounded by a golf camp. We stayed in the old building but the room is completely renovated, with a perfect renovated bathroom (please, put a plug in the bath room!!), a very confortable bed, 2 sofas and a chimeney. We had a little problem with the heating that they solved immediately. The staff at the reception is lovely! The breakfast on the next morning was great, with pancakes made at the moment. No much choices (homemade cakes would be appreciated) but very good overall.

We had two rooms at this hotel, and all of us were very impressed with it. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and a fantastic deal for the price we paid, one of the benefits of traveling during the low season. The bathrooms were clean, in great working order, with plenty of hot water and good pressure. The beds in both rooms were in wonderful condition, clean, with just the right firmness. The hotel was quiet, so all of us got a restful night's sleep. We went to the bar for a drink and glanced at their restaurant's menu. We wished we had checked their menu before eating elsewhere because they offered lamb shanks, which we had been unable to find elsewhere nearby. The breakfast the following morning was just as good as one would hope, with an assortment of hot and cold choices, coffee and tea. If we ever are fortunate enough to return to this beautiful corner of Ireland, we will try to stay here again. Parking was plentiful and free.

The restaurant/bar serve delicious food. The chef here knows his stuff.Top notch but not overly expensive. We were so glad we stayed at the hotel on our last evening as the atmpsphere is lovely, lots of natural light and cosy too. Yes, I enjoyed exploring Sligo town + restaurants there, but nothing compared to the pleasure of eating at Castle Dargan. Only had to walk to room after too. It was priced so reasonably yet such good food + finesse
