Perfect location: a short walk from Aliguna airport water bus, within a stone throw to main train station and vaporetto water bus… supermarket, shops, restaurants on the doorstep.Friendly, helpful staff. Our room was on the third floor and despite only having a cabin case, the receptionist kindly offered to carry it.The room was very spacious and spotless. Tastefully decorated in a Venetian way. The bathroom was quite large (strong hot shower). The bedroom was a bit hard but still quite comfortable. There was also a balcony.The breakfast buffet had a small and yet a nice spread of cold and hot options.Definitely be booking again if we ever go back to Venice!

Hotel Casa Verardo Residenza d'Epoca - Fantastic hotel with welcoming staff We've just returned from a short family break to Venice, travelling with 2 children ages 10 and 13, staying at the Casa Verardo. The hotel is in a superb location - a few minutes walk to the main sights, but quiet and secluded enough to be peaceful. The room was spacious and typically Venetian - we didn't have a canal view as we were at the rear, but that didn't distract from the experience at all. It was clean and the bed was one of the comfiest I've stayed in while away from home. Breakfast was typical continental, with lots of choice and was plenty for us. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. One of the members of staff on the front desk gave us a map, and wrote full instructions on how to visit Murano, Burano (well worth a visit), and the grand canal at sunset, with ACTV numbers and times etc. Saved us lots of time as we knew where to head for. The staff also offered recommendations for restaurants and advice on returning to the airport. I loved our short time in this beautiful, unique location and when we return to Venice, we will definitely return to this hotel.
